In high school, I sailed in the Puget Sound as the captain of my high school's varsity sailing team. After working as an assistant sailing instructor in 2022, I instructed advanced courses with CYC Seattle in the summer of 2024.

I'm hoping to sail more here at Cal Poly, but unfortunately haven't had the chance yet due to practices conflicting with my class schedule.

I mostly sail FJs, but I also have a great time in V15s, 420s, and Lasers when given the chance.

I play the popular card game Magic: The Gathering. I spend most of my time playing EDH, brewing Modern, losing at Oathbreaker, and drafting my Cube.

I'm a certified tournament Judge, meaning that I oversee events and manage the complicated rules & policy interactions that occur in tournament gameplay. I've worked at several events in the greater Seattle area, including two ComicCons and a $20K RCQ / ReCQ at MXP Tacoma. (MXP had over 400 players in each RCQ / ReCQ!)

I’ve also competed in regional and subregional tournaments, and have two top 8 placements in Modern Regional Championship Qualifiers.

Beyond my experience coding, I've also done work administrating small servers. This includes cost and compute optimization, in addition to analyzing issues like latency and network bottlenecks. Most of this work is on Minecraft servers.

In January and February of 2025, I worked with Cal Poly ASI, where I set up, maintained, and administrated a server hosting a Minecraft server instance for a series of community Minecraft events. I also set up and adminstrated my high school's official Minecraft server.

I usually host these servers on Oracle Cloud infrastructure. This website (the one you're on right now!) is on an AWS EC2 instance.
